These links are meant for people of all ages and levels of experience. All of these resources are engaging, fun, and used in my S.T.E.M. classroom.

Coding Links

Lightbot

Lightbot is a great way to begin coding. This application focuses on sequence structure, functions, and loops. This can be played on a web browser, an Apple and Andriod app.

Twine

Twine is a unique program that can be used to create stories, quizes and games. It can be used with or without text coding.

Kano Make Art

Kano Make Art is a great way to begin text coding to create a picture.

Code For Life

Code For Life is a game that can be thought of as a mix of Lightbot and Scratch that will guide users from drag and drop coding to Python.

CoSpaces

CoSpaces can be used to code and design virutal reality video games and stories. Both drag and drop and text coding can be used.

Code.org

Code.org has a depth of coding games and resources that can accomodate any level of coding.

CodeCombat

This resources presents as a game where charcters battle and move thorugh different levels using text coding. You can choose the language you would like to learn.

GameMaker Lite

GameMaker Lite is a comprehensive coding resrouce that uses GameMaker language in a drag and drop format. This resource allows for all video game creation and design down to the creation of sprites. There are internal tutorials in this resource to teach the program.

Scratch

Scratch is a reputable resource used to teach drag and drop coding. This resource has internal tutorials to learn as well as a gallery of scratch created games and presentations.

CAD (Computer Aided Design) Links

Homebyme

Homebyme is a resource to create 2D and 3D designs and blueprints of the interior and exterior of homes.

TinkerCAD

This is a great way to learn how to use CAD. The complexity of this resource can be stretched very far. There are internal tutorials and lessons to begin learning how to use TinkerCAD.

Fusion 360

Autodesk owns a variety of CAD programs. Fusion 360 is a great balance of easy to learn yet advanced enough to be used by engineers in a professional setting.

SketchUp

SketchUp is a program that can accomodate new and experiences CAD users. There are a lot in internal components that can be used to design or items can be built using more traditional CAD method.

3D Slash

This program is a more informal CAD platform. You can add or subtract material in a pixle or block like manner. Many of my students who have used this program compare it to Minecraft.

Supermedium Supercraft

This is a virtual reality CAD program that must be used through a browser on a V.R. system.

Cargo Bridge

This bridge building game is fun and engaging. You must work with the given budget and materials to create a strong enough bridge to hold an elephant!

The Ruler Game

Test your measurement speed and accuracy with this ruler game. You can decide on the increments and units on the ruler.

Lego Education EV3 Programming

This resource will link you to the LEGO website to download the software used to program EV3 robots. Note: this resource will not work as a standalone program a robot is required.
